Eat, Drink and Be Merry

Brain Meltdown

Posted by: eliana on: October 16, 2007

I’m staring at my Akkadian homework right now and it looks like gibberish. What is my problem? I’ve been learning this for 5 weeks and studying the new stuff almost every day since last class. I think my brain is going into overload.

Deep breath, back to work.

I love you. That happened to me once with Greek…of course, I have the advantage of meeting three times in smaller chunks each week – but you’ll get it.

Mandy, I’ll be praying for your studies and sanity. :-)

Are you using Huehnergard? I collapsed around lesson 21 and the doubly weak verbs. I’m still not sure I recovered from it!

Yep. Lessons 20-23 next Wednesday. Now I know what I have to look forward to.

This really isn’t a good way to teach a language. How much text are you actually able to read if you’re burning through the material this quickly?
